Such a whimsical and unique jewel, this Victorian fur clip is shaped like a dainty slipper kicking a red ball. Do you remember kicking the red rubber ball around the playground as a child? I sure do. The clip is glossy, 18k gold. Twinkly little diamonds edge the top of the shoe. It's engraved with a dagged pattern and has sporty little cleats. The shoe's pointed toe connects to the synthetic ruby-spangled ball. A fur clip is a brooch that fastens with two long, hinged prongs; the long, sturdy prongs are intended for wear on heavy wintertime fabrics. Circa 1870.

Details.....The brooch measures 1.43" by .62". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on Vintage and Antique jewels. We consider it a part of their charm.
