This Etruscan Revival brooch of elaborately worked 15ct gold hides a sweet surprise: a small round locket is hidden on the back of the brooch. The locket is the perfect repository for a wee photo or a tress of a loved one's hair. A gorgeous little piece, embellished with delicate engraving and beading. The English brooch secures with the c-clasp common to the era, stamped "15ct" and with the maker's mark "J.S" in a shield-shaped cartouche. Circa 1880.

Details.....The brooch measures 2" by 0.60". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
